--About Lee Mortimer--
Lee Mortimer (AKA Sawtooth Sucka) has been steadily making waves with his productions and DJ sets by taking every opportunity to supply ears with exciting, sleaze-filled fidget house.
Having started with the humble Commodore Amiga before he was even a teenager, Lee has now firmly established himself as a top-notch recording artist and has had tracks and remixes on CR2, Front Room Recordings, Made To Play, Jusin Long’s .dotbleep Recordings, Chris Duckenfield’s Odori, Aquasky's Passenger Records (Lee's remix of 'Call Me' by The Bodysnatchers is in the Buzz Chart right now) and many more. Dave Taylor's Dubsided Records have recently knocked on the door too and an EP is now in the pipeline.
No prizes for guessing then that love for Lee's tracks has come from all corners of the dance music world. This includes support from Switch, Pete Tong (Who dubbed Lee's track 'Crazy' as "one of the largest tunes" at the WMC 2007), Claude VonStroke (who licensed 'Mush' for his ‘At The Controls' CD), Diplo, Dave Spoon, Crookers, Annie Mac, Jesse Rose, Paul Woolford, Micky Slim, Derrick Carter (featured 'When It Comes' on his Ministry of Sound Sessions CD) and loads more to boot!
Lee’s DJ-ing roots are in the underground, sweaty clubs, late nights, Stella Artois and Sambuca. This motto has followed him wherever he has played including as far a field and San Francisco (EndUp), Chicago (Smart Bar) and Lithuania, plus all of the UK's top spots- Ministry Of Sound, Turnmills, 333, The Egg, Back To Basics, The Custard Factory etc. An Australian tour is also pencilled in for November.
Lee has been rewarded for his passion and hard work by being picked by Ministry of Sound to be their brand new monthly resident. Lee takes to the decks at the world renowned club on August 23rd 2008. Watch this space for more details.
Now concentrating his efforts into his own label, Wearhouse Music, Lee has come into his own with his production creativity and A&R skills with all tracks getting majorly caned! |

--About DJ Remo--
“Fine art is that in which the hand, the head, and the heart of man go together”, Remo has been following to the letter the phrase above having become one of the most interesting italian djs, thanks to his talent and charismatic personality.
This Italian dj/producer’s music precedes him and speaks about his world, the path that led him to continuously re-invent his style and to create an innate bond with his public.
At the beginning of his career Remo looked as if he was on the path of Hip Hop, when, embraced by the rhythms and lights of Ibiza, being just over 20 years old, he became the dj resident in the roof terrace of Pacha. With passion and determination on his side, Remo started to play in some of the most important clubs in Milan (Italy) until the encounter with the Pervert group, with which an important partnership was soon born : Remo became the resident dj at Pervert Gold, the most sexy and out of the ordinary club night in Italy, which soon opened the gates towards the experimentation of new sounds and enabled him to get in touch with the most important international Djs.
Everything changes as time flows by, and so did Remo, performing a metamorphosis in
his style which got influenced by more electronic and dark sonorities. Listening and
assimilating while creating something unique that reflects what you are, that is the path which Remo choose to give his career a turn by becoming a producer.
The dedication, fervour and hard work that are present in everyone that follows a dream all led to the creation of the debut track "Black Sabrina", released on Giant Wheel Records and made together with Get Physical's Chelonis R. Jones, which was immediately played by internationals big djs and become soon an italian smash hit, introducing him to the big audience.
His career as a producer proceeds with new releases and with the signature of important remixes such as Audiofly’s “Inside the Beat” and Coolio and Snoop Doggs "Gangsta Walk” As dj, he started also important collaborations with artists such as Steve Lawle who brings him as resident at Viva, his night at Ibizas club Space, and with John Aquaviva for whom Remo participates as a guest the Aquaholic nights at Ibiza’s Privilege.
Remo now continues to impress thanks to the incomparable energy that he transmits in his dj sets and the ease with which his music manages to become one with those who listen to it. Speed, immediateness plus the ability to experiment and following new paths, while always remaining faithful to himself, these are some of the elements which combined form Dj Remo’s artistic DNA. |

--About fRew--
Since the beginning of time the Elders have had strong visions of a bass driven, party rockin', tech-electro sound. Now the year is 2008 and such visions have manifested into conscience reality – through one artist, known only as fRew, (with a capital R). He’s an Australian DJ/Producer that augments your club experience to greater heights. He hypnotizes even the most blasé bodies with his amazing and unique style of dance floor rhythms. In early 2007, fRew reached the next level by writing his own music and signing with the world’s fastest growing and forward thinking label, Vacation Records.
Take a moment… Imagine sipping a perfectly mixed martini, garnished with the future of club music. This is one way to describe the collaboration between ‘fRew & the Shopliftas’. Aptly titled ‘Bermuda Nights’, this release has a little something for everybody; combining deep atmospherics with a hard edged bass-line.
Descriptive words such as “Tight!” & “Wicked, Fucking Wicked!” from Ali B (Fabric / Air Recordings) and Smithmonger are used to sum up fRew’s incredibly catchy yet cutting edge re rub of Bass Kleph's ‘Bump Uglies’.
UK’s Jnr J was left baffled stating, “This fRew character is mental, he's not done a track I don't love!”
His larger than large single ‘Call of the Crow’ has DJ’s and producers lining up to sing praise. From the vocal chords of Mickey Slim “JEEEEEEEEEESUS!!! Another fuckin bomb! I love it!” accompanied with Australian Ministry of Sound’s Tim McGee “Me likey!” Laurent Garnier complimenting with “This sounds fucked up and nasty! This thing destroys every dance floor it comes into contact with!”…it’s obvious fRew is a hit.
fRew was given the opportunity to remix ex-1200 Techniques front man N’fa’s ‘Get Doh’ alongside label owner and mentor Bass Kleph. fRew's remix has not only ignited dance floors globally but it has reached number seven on the Beatport electro house charts. ‘Get Doh’ received generous chunks of airtime on Australia's Triple J and has been collecting kudos from as far away as South Africa with Mark Webb professing, “tight, rocking and just the thing I like. More of this please!”
fRew’s original tune ‘Shake With It’ picked up much respect worldwide from artists including Micky Slim and The Bass Bin Twins, who dug the original sound, “Fantastic! Good to hear some quality in a sea of so – so productions”, while his remix of Bass Kleph’s ‘Coup d’etat’ rated equally as strong, garnering props from Way Out West with the massive claim, “this is how electro house should be done!”.
Following this was fRew's floor thumping electro remix of the Shopliftas ‘Freak Out’ which not only made a lot of noise but was rated an 8/10 by the Plump DJ’s, calling the tune “excellent” – a direct reflection of fRew’s strong production work from the heavyweights themselves.
Next on the production agenda is more original flavor, with a track titled “I Got Something” fRew creates a dark, yet seductive timbre, complemented with polished lyrics written by up and coming dance floor diva ‘Jessica Higgs’.
Despite a busy schedule fRew still finds the time to push the envelope in the studio by hosting Beat Box Radio with Bass Kleph on 2SER 107.3FM every Friday afternoon. Broadcasting the best in top shelf tech, electro house and breaks all over Sydney, their podcasts reach the rest of the world via iTunes with over 137,000 downloads to date - further evidence of fRew’s ability to capture a global audience. |
