After being seduced by electronic music and its culture at a warehouse party in 1996, Julien acquired some used DJ gear and started making mix-tapes for friends. By 2000, Julien earned a Friday night residency at the historic Mad Bar in Toronto playing alongside some of the city’s top DJ’s and international guests such as DJ Heather, Derrick Carter and Miss Honey Dijon. Throughout his years behind the decks, he has developed a distinct sound and mixing style that has made him a crowd favorite in Toronto and has lead to current residencies at The Guvernment and Comfort Zone as well as a number of international appearances including the annual BPM Conference in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. In 2004 Julien began producing electronic dance music. He has recently launched Generation Recordings, a digital label which acts as an outlet for his own work as well as a medium to promote new music and artists. His first release entitled “I Need House” was an indication of good things to come as one of the singles “Tricks For Free” charted on the top 100 on Beatport. With his DJing and production, Julien is making his mark in his home town and is beginning to receive recognition as an up and coming international talent.
