Frequency

August 27th, 2008 by Matt H

One of (if not the) most successful and widely recognized breakbeat labels has brought forth an amazing release bound to leave people unsure which track is their favorite.

On remix duty there is the one of a kind sound from NAPT keeping the breakbeat genre fresh as always. Not a fan of breakbeats? Let this remix change your mind! No doubt that this track is a dancefloor filler!

Also on remix duty there is the ever talented Miles Dyson. This remix brings out a bassline that just steals the show and continues to prove that Dyson is ahead of the game!

Pick up both remixes you won’t regret it!

SETH TROXLER & SHAUN REEVES - I Like You Too

August 20th, 2008 by Justin James

Detroit natives Seth Troxler and Shaun Reeves team up under the name Hot, producing two tracks together ‘Mrutalkin’, which has a housey feel and a domineering, funk-tinged bassline to match, and ‘Still Hot’, retaining more of a rigid, techno feel. On the B-side Troxler ditches Reeves for a collaboration with Gadi Mizrahi, resulting in ‘Herlin’ a fairly minimal exercise with deep, bloopy bass and a spacious economical use of instrumentation and samples.

Helium and Helium Remixed

August 13th, 2008 by Matt H

What originally started as a single release “Helium,” was released on Vacation Records and featured big names such as the original by Bass Kleph and Anthony Paul and on remix duty was Mowgli (Southern Fried, CR2), Karton (Vacation, Sound of Habib), and Kid Dub (Definitive). All the originals and remixes highlighted the rising individual sounds and was sure to cover your style in Electro House.

But it gets better….

The Vacation boys stepped it up a level bringing in the UK monster Micky Slim, the jackin’ sounds of Adam Bozzetto, and the man of the hour Wolfgang Gartner (aka Joey Youngman). So Electro lovers take your pick. Vacation Records has brought out the big guns and you’ll be hard pressed to not find a mix that suits your style. The Micky Slim remix has been picked up on CR2 for a special “CR2 Presents…”. Even better yet there is an acapella available for those of you maybe lookin to take your own spin on it! So Check the links below and enjoy!
